Bobbie Ann "Shu Shu" Prawd, née Prince, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, in West Palm Beach, Florida, at the age of 89. A beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and joyful service to others. Born on March 23, 1936, in
Sherwood, Tennessee, Bobbie was the daughter of Robert Louis and Annie Clara Prince. Raised with strong southern values and a generous heart, she carried those qualities with her throughout her life.
Known affectionately as "Shu Shu," a name that began as a grandmotherly nickname but quickly became how nearly everyone knew her, Bobbie embodied warmth and selflessness in every role she held. Bobbie began her professional journey at Combustion Engineering, where fate introduced her to Donald Prawd-the man who would become her husband and lifelong partner. Their shared years were filled with love and dedication until Donald's passing on October 22, 2022.
Later in her career, Bobbie worked for Bellsouth in both Birmingham and Chattanooga, where she continued to bring diligence and grace to all she did. A devoted Methodist throughout her life, Bobbie gave generously of her time to her church community. She sang joyfully in the choir until the age of 88-a testament to both her enduring spirit and deep faith. Her voice was not only heard in song but also felt through countless acts of kindness extended to friends and strangers alike.
Bobbie found great joy in baking for loved ones and sharing laughter around the table. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aromas of homemade treats prepared with love. But above all else, she cherished time spent with family and friends-moments that brought light to her days and warmth to those around her.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Leslie (Gregg Balladares) Fenton and Jeffrey Prawd; and by her grandchildren, Megan and Dylan. Though preceded in death by her husband Donald and parents Robert Louis and Annie Clara Prince, Bobbie's memory lives on through those who were fortunate enough to know her. A sweet southern lady through and through, Shu Shu will be remembered for doing anything for anyone at any time-always with a smile on her face and love in her heart. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
