Bobby Duane Birchfield, 77, of Andrews, Texas passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews with his loving family at his side.
Bobby was born on July 10, 1947, in Matador, Texas to Dorothy Markham Birchfield and Robert Birchfield. He was a retired pumper in the oil industry. Bob enjoyed square dancing with his wife, Sandra, who he met on the dance floor almost fifty years ago. He also enjoyed raising mules, hunting white tail deer, riding horses and mules in the mountains and had a passion for guns and enjoyed loading ammo for them. Bob's main enjoyment was his family, who he loved dearly, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Sandra McFarland Birchfield of Andrews; his son, Robert Joshua Birchfield and his wife Christina of Bedford, Texas; daughters, Heather Burt and her husband Jeff of Andrews and Jynna O'Neal and husband Paul Fair of Andrews; grandchildren, Michael Burt, Kyle Burt, Charlie Jackson and Dallas O'Neal; four great grandchildren, John O'Neal, Matthew Jackson, KayAnne Jackson and Jeffrey Burt.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert, and Dorothy Birchfield, brother, William Birchfield and granddaughter, Amber Jackson.
A visitation will take place from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2025, at McNett Funeral Home in Andrews. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Matador Cemetery also known at East Mound Cemetery in Matador, Texas.
