Bobby was recently baptized by Dave Hamlin and took his faith very seriously. He loved fishing, hunting, shooting pool and was a Chevy man.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert "Old Bobby" Covington; and his brothers, Danny Covington and Mark Covington.
He is survived by his son, Bobby "Little Bobby" Covington (Tabitha); his daughters, Lana Stallar (Mike), Angela Robinson (Nelyon), Nadja Hale (Seneca), Kristel Staudigel, Sarah Sharp, Tina Covington, and Heaven Covington; his mother, Shirley Shouse; his 16 grandchildren; his brother, Christopher Covington; and his sister, Charlene Cranmer.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the Shannon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 18, 2025. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Bagdad Cemetery in Bagdad, Kentucky.
Expressions of sympathy may be made out to Kosair Children's Hospital, C/O Children's Hospital Foundation, Dept 86140 PO Box 950183, Louisville, KY 40295-0183.
