Larry M. Covington, 67, passed peacefully from this life surrounded by his family on August 22, 2025 in Henrietta, Texas after a short and unexpected illness.

A memorial service will be at 1:30pm on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Davis Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Henrietta, Texas with Pastor Doug Gaskey of Grace Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.

At a later date, he will be laid to rest next to his wife Dana in Stephenville, Texas.

Larry was born on December 3, 1957, to Kenneth and Jeanette (Stoddard) Covington in Graham, Texas. He enjoyed playing basketball and was an All-District-All Area Post at Henrietta High School, Class of 1976. He served our country in the Army, completing his basic training in Fort Dix, New Jersey in November 1976 and was stationed in Germany.

Larry met the love of his life, Dana, in 1989 and they made Fort Worth their home where they raised their two sons. He worked as an industrial roofer for many years then worked the past 15 years as a custodian for Lake Church Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas until he retired in July 2025. He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, and old westerns in his spare time. His last wish was to come back home to Henrietta, even after being away for over 30 years, Henrietta was still home. That wish was honored and he was surrounded by his family and friends during the time of his illness. Larry always had the personality to keep the family entertained while we were together, he will be very much missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dana Bollier, Father Kenneth Covington, sister Carla Stegall, niece Jessica Stegall.

Survivors include his mom, Jeanette Covington of Henrietta, brother Kenny Covington and wife Jennifer of Henrietta, sister Cheryl Reed and partner Wayne Humble of Newalla, Oklahoma, son, Beau Bollier and wife Crista, grandkids Joshua, Levi, Dana, Ruth of Springtown, Texas, son Damian Bollier and wife Dora and grandkids Benjamin and Sara of Anchorage, Alaska along with two nieces and five nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Hospice Plus at 4210 Kell West Blvd. ste. 204, Wichita Falls, Texas 76309.
