Bobby Lee Dry, born on September 1, 1934 in Leach, Oklahoma, passed away on September 4, 2025, in Salina, Oklahoma at the age of 91. Bobby's career as a truck driver allowed him to explore many places, yet he always returned to the comforts of home and family. Bobby loved taking Sunday drives and had a passion for singing, especially Cherokee songs. A firm believer in his faith, he was a member of the Euwasha Baptist Church in Kenwood.
Bob was known for his love of his dog, Buddy, and his affectionate nature towards his family. He is survived by his son, Leon Dry and wife Tina of Kenwood; daughter, Sharon Budder and husband Richard of Kenwood; daughter, Carolyn "Shorty" Ross and husband Anthony of Kenwood; daughter, Stephanie Lynne and Matt Crook of Salina. He also leaves behind his daughter-in-law, Tonka Dry of Kenwood. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Chyla, Lance, Dusten, Brittaney, Megan, Vincent, Lakyn, Denisa, Chanda, Dustin, Mika, and Derrick, alongside 37 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnson and Rachel Dry, his beloved wife, Billie Ann and his son, Dennis Dry; brothers Walter, John, and Homer Dry; sister Mary Dew; and great-granddaughter Khloee.
Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through the stories shared, the songs sung, and the love that he instilled in those around him.
Funeral services for Bob will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 8, 2025, at Euwasha Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Budder officiating. Interment will follow in the Euwasha Cemetery with Derrick Budder, Dustin Dry, Matt Crook, Vincent Ross, Zach Sanders, and Brue Tibbets serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Shipman's Funeral Home.
