Bobby Earls Obituary

Bobby Ray Earls, age 78 of Tazewell, TN went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 3, 2025. He was born on December 14,1946 to the late Edward Earls and Ruth Bunch Earls.
He was preceded in death by both parents, his brother Lee Roy Earls, his sister Nancy Mills, grandson Bobby A. Lanham, stepson James Bradley Williams and son -in-law Bryan K. Lanham. Bobby is survived by his wife Shirley Earls, brother David (Melinda) Earls, daughters Tammy Rouse and Amanda Tuttle. Stepsons Gregory (Amy Evans) Williams and Shawn Williams. Grandchildren Chasity Lanham, Tiffany (Ricky) Ellison, Kelsey (Johnathan Eldridge) England, Haley Williams Alyssa (Darrell) England. Aaron Payne, Angel Danielle Rouse, Colton (Jamie) Payne, Kaylynn Williams. Great Grandchildren Christopher Ellison and Elizabeth Rouse, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Bobby was a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church and served as a Deacon for many years at Cedar Fork Baptist Church. He was a carpenter by trade and a very active farmer through the years. He loved music and played the bass guitar in many country bands. Bobby traveled far and wide playing and singing at shows and benefit dinners.
We would like to give a special thanks to the UT Hospital Staff & UT Hospice Nurses. Also a special thanks to Joel Radford, Jacob Radford and Zane Mills. Pallbearers: Ricky Ellison, Darrell England, Shawn Williams, Greg Williams, Colton Payne, Jonathan Eldridge, Joel Radford, and Jason Hopkins. Honorary Pallbearers: Zane Mills, Terry Lock, Christopher Ellison, David Earls, Larry Mills, Jacob Radford, and Andrew Radford.
The family will receive friends Thursday February 6, 2025 from 5pm till 7pm with funeral services to follow at 7pm in the Claiborne~Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Overholt and Rev. Jerry Epperson officiating. The music will be provided by Haley Williams and Jason Hopkins. The family will meet on Friday February 7, 2025 at 11 am at the Jones Cemetery in Ewing, VA. for the graveside service.
