Bobby Zane Egger, age 89, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025 in Andrews, TX. He was born on September 18, 1935 in Star, TX to Arle and O.D. (Curtis) Egger. Bobby married Mavis Corene Kerby on December 30, 1954 in Gatesville, TX and they celebrated 66 years together before her death in 2021.
Bobby was a member of the Wink Church of Christ. He grew up on a ranch where he raised show cattle. He play sports and later joined the military, serving in the US Army. His hobbies included a deep loving for fishing, riding dirt bikes, and traveling the country in his RV camping. To his family, he was known as "B.Z." and he will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Mavis Corene Egger; parents: Arle and O.D. Egger; and grandson: Derrick Dewayne "D.D." Egger.
He is survived by his son: Monty Egger of Kermit, TX; grandson: Garrett Egger and wife Yari; great-grandchildren: Ayden and Caaly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the Wink Church of Christ officiated by Terry Hill. Burial will follow at 10 am, Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the Goldthwaite Cemetery in Goldthwaite, TX officiated by William Eudy. Pallbearers will include Don Kapka, Todd Warner, Gene Mitchell, Ayden Egger and Mark Terry.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Arrangements are entrusted to Family Services Funeral Parlor and condolences may be sent to the family at www.fs-fp.com.
