Bobby Gentry Obituary

Bobby Joe was born August 23, 1943 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Clarence and Veda Henry Gentry. He was a former logger, heavy equipment operator and most notably a small engine mechanic. He loved fishing, camping, going to the flea market, mo riding but most of all he loved big family dinners and being with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a son Robert Gentry; step-grandson Jeremiah Ray Price; sister Ruby Usrey and brothers Carl, Erby and Donnie Gentry.
Surviving family members include his wife Reba Gentry
Children: Mona (Barry) Fogly, Lori Peeples, Gary Gentry and Jodi Lawson
Step-children: Paul McCormick, Jamie Gentry, Jackie Barnes, Jennifer Gregory, Misty Howard and Gary (Christie) Hassler
Fourteen grandchildren
Sister: Lucy Henry
Brothers: Eugene Gentry and Wayne Gentry
Special nephews: Dwayne Gentry and Gerald Usrey
A host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive
Hunter Funeral Home has been entrusted with Bobby Joe's cremation and the family will receive friends from 4-8:00pm Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Hunter Funeral Home.
