Bobby Earl Hall, 92, of
Greenville, SC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Bobby will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Born in
Greenville, SC, Bobby was the son of the late Lawson and Alma McCallum Hall. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 ½ years, Linda Sutherland Hall; one son, Richard Hall (Angela); grandchildren, Rachel Hall, Benjamin Hall (Libby), Noah Hall (Ashley), Abigail Durham (James), and Eli Hall (Julia); great-grandchildren, Esther, Eden, Hazel, Micah, Clay, Shepherd, Hosea, and Lawson. He also leaves behind his sister, Ann Lowery, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and sisters-Claude, Lucille, Homer, Ola Mae, Roy, and L.A.-and many friends who have gone before him.
A proud veteran of the Korean War, Bobby's service was honored with his picture displayed on the Korean War Memorial in Washington, D.C. After returning home, he worked at J.P. Stevens until his retirement in 1995.
Bobby had a deep love for his family. He spent countless hours fishing with his grandchildren, and his home was always stocked with cookies, ice cream, and bubble gum, ready for the family visits that he cherished so much. He was a faithful deacon at his church and loved serving the Lord.
Known as a kind and generous neighbor, Bobby was always willing to lend a helping hand, offering support in times of need. He also had a special bond with the dogs in his neighborhood, who would often visit him when their owners were away.
The family is grateful for the love and support from friends and neighbors during this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Unity Baptist Church of Berea, 12 Piney Rd.,

Bobby's legacy of love, faith, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery West.
