Bobby Ketcher

Bobby Wayne Ketcher, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away at the age of 55 on September 5, 2025 at McAlester Regional Health Center due to a sudden cardiac event. Born on August 25, 1970, Bobby's life was one marked by dedication, love, and a passion for the great outdoors.

A proud graduate of Panola High School's Class of 1988, Bobby went on to establish a successful career as an appraiser. In 1997, he founded Advanced Appraisals, where he combined his sharp eye for detail with his unwavering integrity.

Bobby's love for nature was evident to all who knew him. An avid outdoorsman, he found peace and joy in hunting, fishing, and archery. His skill with a bow was unmatched, earning him the title of I.B.O. Triple Crown Champion. These activities were not just hobbies for Bobby; they were a way of life that he shared with his family and friends, creating countless cherished memories.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kayla (Gwinn) Ketcher; his children, Kasie Ketcher and Greg, Bobby Ketcher and Makayla, Kodi Ketcher, and Madalyn Elder; his brother, Rick Ketcher; his aunt, Joyce Bowen and her husband Ronnie; his uncle, Robert Ketcher, Sr. and his wife Tammy; his cousin, Robert Ketcher, Jr. and his wife Teresa; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Becky Strickland; his sister-in-law, Breesy Strickland; and many other family members and a host of friends who will miss him dearly.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Edward Ketcher and Wrenetta (Woodruff) Ketcher, and his sister, Sheri Lynn Ketcher. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his legacy of kindness, generosity, and love for the natural world will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Bobby's life was a testament to the values he held dear: family, hard work, and the simple pleasures of life. His laughter, his wisdom, and his gentle spirit will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Panola School Auditorium with Bobby Pinley officiating.
