Bobby Lee Lambert, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, in Asheville, North Carolina, at the age of 67. Born on August 21, 1958, in Concord, NC, Bobby made a lasting impact on everyone he encountered throughout his life.
Bobby was a proud graduate of Concord High School. He was a technician at Phillip Morris and worked at various other places after it closed.
Known for his warm and friendly demeanor, Bobby was an easy-going person who brightened the lives of those around him. He was famous for his cheerful smile and his remarkable ability to make others laugh. A true jokester at heart, he had a natural talent for bringing joy to any gathering, embodying a spirit of generosity and kindness that stayed with him throughout his life. Bobby was the kind of person who would do anything for others, supporting friends and family alike in times of need.
In his leisure time, Bobby found solace and happiness in the great outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, reveling in nature and sharing these passions with loved ones. A dedicated sports fan, he closely followed all sports, with a special affection for the Atlanta Braves and a lifelong admiration for Dale Earnhardt, Sr. He also proudly supported the New England Patriots, celebrating the triumphs of his favorite teams with fervor.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Cara Drye Lambert; his stepdaughter, Jennifer Drye; his stepson, Jamie Burris; and his cherished granddaughter, Kynleigh Burris. He will also be missed deeply by his brother, Danny (Debbie) Lambert, and his beloved fur baby cat, Knucklehead. The connections Bobby forged throughout his life create a host of extended family and friends who will remember him with fondness and gratitude.
Preceding him in death are his beloved parents, Charles Lambert and Gladys Hartsell Lambert, who instilled in him the values of compassion and hard work that guided him throughout his life.
Bobby Lee Lambert leaves behind a rich legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories that will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed but always remembered for his indelible spirit and his unwavering love for his family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held in 2026. Details will be announced at a later date.
