Bobby Deese Lineberry, 90, of Staley, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, at the Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
Bobby, a native of Chatham County was born on January 24, 1934, to Edgar Deese Lineberry and Della Rosella Cain Lineberry. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Johnson Lineberry; son, Ralph D. Lineberry; sisters, Ava Wheeler, Ruth Lineberry, Dorothy Jester and Emma Jean Lineberry.
Mr. Lineberry attended Rocky River Friends Meeting, was an Army Veteran and a farmer. He retired after many years from Basic Machinery. Bobby loved his family, farming, fishing, and wood working. He always needed to be busy working on something whether it was his farm or his wood working projects.
Bobby is survived by his son, Claude Lineberry and wife Theresa, of Staley; three daughters, Patricia L. Crump, of Staley, Martha L. Marley, of Angier, and Donna L. Smith, of Siler City; three brothers, Raeford Lineberry and wife Alice, of Snow Camp, Ervin “Bo” Lineberry and wife Liz, of Asheboro, and Tim Duncan and wife Shelia, of Greensboro; two sisters, Judy L. Moricle, of Burlington and Shirley Lineberry, of Mebane; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
A graveside service with military rites will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Rocky River Friends, at 4:00 PM, with Pastor Bob Griffith officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Randolph Hospice, 446 Vision Drive, Asheboro NC, 27203.
