Born with a spirited independence, Rita embraced life fully and on her own terms. She found joy in dancing, the camaraderie of bridge games, and the quiet beauty of long hikes -- often accompanied by her beloved granddogs. Her strength, warmth, and zest for life left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Rita is survived by her son, Christopher J. Lineberry, and his wife Dawn who cherish her memory and the love she gave so freely. She is also survived by her sister Laurie. Rita was predeceased by her three brothers, Gerald, Robert and Andre.
She will be remembered for her independence, her love of simple pleasures, and the laughter she shared with her friends and family alike.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those wishing to honor Rita's memory to take a walk in nature, play a game of cards with friends, or dance to a waltz or country music -- just as she loved to do.
No formal services will be held in accordance with Rita's wishes.
