Bobby Dale Magee, age 70, passed away Monday morning, December 8, 2025, at his home in Pope, MS.
Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 11, 2025, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Pope, MS. The family will be receiving friends Thursday morning from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
Bobby was born on January 18, 1955, in Sardis, Mississippi, to the late James Grady and Anna Lou Morris Magee. Bobby lived a life that was deeply rooted in his love for farming, family, and the great outdoors. He was saved by the grace of his Lord and Savior as a teenager and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Batesville, MS.
Bobby's career as a cattle farmer was complemented by his role at the Co-Op, where he contributed to the agricultural community by spreading fertilizer. His passion for the land and hard work shaped the lives of those around him, and he was respected by fellow farmers and neighbors alike. Outside of his professional life, Bobby found joy in many activities. He loved hunting, riding motorcycles, cutting hay, and driving tractors. However, nothing brought him more happiness than family gatherings, where laughter and love filled the air.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Anne Lipe Magee, who resided with him in Pope, MS. He is also survived by his cherished daughters, Angie Dorris (Alex) of Oxford, MS, and Macy Weed (Jason) of Pope, MS. Bobby was a proud grandfather to three grandchildren: Maggie Dorris, Brianna Weed, and Chance Weed, who brought him endless joy and pride.
He is also mourned by his brothers, Jimmy Magee of Courtland, MS, and Johnny Magee (Debra) of Pope, MS. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, James Grady and Anna Lou Morris Magee, and a brother, Larry Magee.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made and sent to Liberty Hill Cemetery Fund, c/o Liberty Hill Baptist Church, P.O. Box 187, Pope, MS 38658.
Bobby Dale Magee's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy of love for family, commitment to his work, and enjoyment of life will be cherished by many for years to come.
