John Christopher Earp, 50, died February 22, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. John Christopher loved being a soldier in the United States Army. He had a heart for his fellow soldiers. He also enjoyed hiking and treasure hunting.
Survivors include his son Browning Earp (Taylor) of Oakland, MS; mother Kathie Serio of Clarksdale, MS; fiance Sarah Betts Mabus of Pope, MS; step children Lane, Annhart, Dawson, Marshall of Pope, MS; step brother Vincent (Anna) Serio of Oxford, MS; aunt Roxanne (Clint) Campbell of Amory, MS; special texting buddy aunt Pat Bright of Clarksdale, MS; good friend Sparky (Amber) Pope, MS and niece Marlo Serio.
He was preceded in death by his father Harold Morris, Jr, grandparents Earnest and Wilma Prine and uncle Earnest Prine, Jr.
