Bobby Gene Mathews, age 65, passed away on November 10, 2025, at Baylor Scott and White Lakeway, TX. Born June 30, 1960, in Houston TX to the late Bobby Ray Mathews and Shirley Jean (Dailey) Mathews.

In 1986 he met the love of his life Elaine Marie Pahmiyer. They married in 1988. For 39 years they enjoyed their life together. In 1995 Bobby graduated from Lamar University with an Associates CAD degree. From there, he move his way up through the oilfield. Most recent accomplishments include starting his company Valley Vessel Fabricators and becoming the Vice President of Fabrication Services at NTACT. VVF was successfully sold in 2014.

Bobby, a devoted father and avid angler. He will be remembered for his love of fishing, spending countless hours on the water, in Canyon Lake, TX, and sharing his passion with family and friends.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Mathews; his daughter Sarah Kitchen and husband Aaron Kitchen and their children Ruby and Violet Kitchen; and their son Bobby Mathews and wife Lesslie Mathews and their children William and Claire Mathews; and their son Nick Mathews and his children Zeus and Athena Mathews

Bobby is also survived by his Sisters Jeanie Johnson and her children Nicole Anderson and Whittney Lee; Ramona Potts and husband Randy Potts and their sons Alex and Gabriel Potts, and brother Terry Mathews along with a host of great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of life will be held at 2pm on Saturday December 13, 2025 in Kingsland. For address information please email [email protected]. Food will be provided. As Bobby would have wanted, this event is BYOB.
