Bobby Nobles (Bobbie Cowell Slade), 79, of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, in his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Pamlico Co., NC on March 8, 1946, to the late Laura Cowell. Bobbie was also preceded in death by his 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Bobbie was devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, dedicating his life to nurturing and supporting his family. His unwavering commitment to those he loved was evident in every aspect of his life, from the joyous gatherings to the quiet moments of guidance. His presence brought comfort and joy, making each family occasion a cherished memory.
Left to cherish Bobbie’s memory is his daughter, Frances Reséndiz (Alfredo Reséndiz) of Fayetteville, NC; and his son, Marvin Wayne Darmon of the home. Bobbie had five grandchildren, Heather Darmon, Crystal Darmon, Catherine Darmon, all of Sevierville, TN, and Bieoncia Sanchez of Fayetteville, NC, and Brian Sanchez (Rebekah Sanchez) of Kennewick, Washington; and 13 great grandchildren. Bobbie is also survived by his sister, Frances Mills of Vanceboro, NC.
A private family service will be held to honor Bobbie’s life.
