Bobby Parker Obituary
Benson, NC: Mr. Bobby Vinson Parker, age 88, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025 at UNC Johnston Health Care in Smithfield, NC, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM-Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Rev. Glenn McCullen will officiate. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Benson, NC.
Mr. Parker was born on March 27, 1937 in Johnston County, NC, to the late Junius and Lela Florence Parker. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Tyner Parker, daughter, Sylvia Parker Horton, and brothers, Earl J. Parker, and Sherwood Allen Parker. Mr. Parker was a retired brick mason, and also retired from Chicopee as a mechanic. Mr. Parker loved to fish, go to the mountains, work in his garden and his yards, and also watch NASCAR. He also loved eating breakfast with his friends at the local McDonalds, and for his age was a great pool shark. He attended Benson Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Benson, NC
Survivors include his daughter, Patricia Oliver and husband Wesley, son-in-law, Dwayne Horton; grandchildren, Amanda Horton, Rebecca Wilson and husband Mitchell, Candice Messer and husband Timothy, Casey Allen Jones and husband Robert, and Stevi Allen Landau and husband Brian; great-grandchildren, Addison Avery, Sylvia Grace Wilson, Trent Messer, Easton Messer, Alyssa Allen, Charlotte Tuck, Travis Jones, Lillia Allen, and Yara Allen; sister, Linda Williams, best friend, Al Stegall, and special cousin, Wallace Parker; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM, Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC, and other times at the home.
