Bobby Gene Reeves

Bobby Gene Reeves, age 83, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 23, 2025, at home.

Mr. Reeves was born August 28, 1941, in Denison, Texas, the son of Lee Roy and Ruth Reeves. Bobby married the love of his life, Linda Marie DeFratus, on August 19, 1961, in Pottsboro, Texas. They were happily married for 51 years until her passing in 2013. He was a member of the Hyde Park Baptist Church, but was known to visit many local churches over the years. Bobby loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and cherished every moment spent with them. He loved the outdoors and watching sports. He often took the grandchildren to watch sporting events at the local High Schools and Colleges or fishing at his favorite spot. Bobby worked for a time at Eisenhower State Park and later ran his own business as a carpenter/repair man. He was a jack of all trades and could be counted on to help with any project or problem you had.

Mr. Reeves is survived by his two daughters, Teresa and husband Larry Finke, and Pennie McKenzie; four grandchildren, Robert Reeves, Amber Reeves, Jordan and spouse Jessie Finke, John Finke and partner Jarrod McRae, and Chelsey Finke; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Danny Reeves; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Reeves; daughter, Silvia Reeves; his parents, Lee and Ruth Reeves; two sisters, Dee Erikson and Ellarene Bullock; and grandson, Matthew Finke.

Family visitation will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel. Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro.

Pallbearers are Jordan Finke, John Finke, Robert Reeves, RJ Reeves.
