Bobby Edward Richardson was born on August 6, 1963 in Detroit Michigan to the late Clyde and Mary Richardson. He was the 9th child of 10 children born to this union. He was educated in the Detroit public school system. Bobby's two brothers Bruce and Ralph preceded him in death. Bobby's niece, Carlotta, also preceded him in death. Bobby accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was a member of Tried Stone Baptist Church in Detroit Michigan until his relocation to New Jersey.
Bobby relocated to New Jersey at the age of 29 where not very long after he met and was joined in holy matrimony to Charlene Adelle Hucks in January, 2000. God blessed their union with one son, Zahir Kevin Watts, from a previous marriage and one daughter, Nairah Breanna Richardson. In most recent years, Bobby was employed with the Mental Health Association of Essex and Morris as a security officer.
Bobby accepted his calling to the Gospel ministry in 2002 and received a license to preach the Gospel ministry from the First Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Dellroger Dunmore in May of 2005. He subsequently relocated his church membership to the New Light Missionary Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Dr. Sean C. Evans, Sr. and there received a license to preach the Gospel ministry in June of 2019. In February of 2021, Bobby and his wife joined the Second Baptist Church of Paterson, N.., again under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Dr. Sean C. Evans, Sr.
Minister Bobby was a loving and devoted husband and father. Minister Bobby had a passion to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and loved being a witness for our Lord. Minister Bobby was a self-taught videographer and used his God-given gift to cultivate a Christian-based media ministry. He did media ministry assignments for various churches within New Jersey. He loved listening to and singing Gospel music, studying God's Holy word, culinary arts and professional football. Minister Bobby was a family-oriented man of God and especially enjoyed holidays and laughter with family and friends.
Bobby leaves to cherish his loving memory: his wife Charlene Richardson; Two children: Zahir and Nairah; Seven siblings: Billey J. Tolbert (Chong), Clyde E. Richardson, Jr., Barbara J. Ajayi (Victor), Sandra Richardson, Renee Venable (Allen II), Vanessa C. Anderson (Victor, Sr.), Arleta Robinson (William); One aunt: Derralyn Fleming and brother-in-laws: Branson and Darrell; Fourteen nieces and nephews: April, Allen III, Renee II, Tommy Jr., Lamar, Miyoung, Billey Tolbert, Jr., Krystal, Catrissia, Ralph, Jr., Victor Jr., Dominque, Jasmine and Diamond; Six Great nieces and nephews: Shartori, Rueben, Jr., Nashanti, Kyon, Augustine and Charles and a host of relatives and friends.
