Allen Family Funeral Options - PlanoBobby Louis Sanders, 89, passed away October 8, 2025. He was born on August 14, 1936, to the late Marshall Columbus and Lama Tribble Sanders. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters LaVerne Domanski, Wilma Craft, Alice Launius, Joyce Thomas, brother Preston Sanders, and son Joey Tyrrell.
Bobby was a graduate of Camden High School in 1954 and Southern State College (now Southern Arkansas University) in 1962. He was a proud United States Air Force Veteran and retired from Texas Workforce Commission.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara; two daughters Lisa (Tracy) Strunk and Shayna (Jason) Marshall; granddaughters Jessica (Matt) Jamieson, Rachel (Evan) Stahl, and Sara Marshall; grandsons Kyle Tyrrell and Brent (Jackie Greenwell-) Strunk; great grandsons Elliott and Oliver Jamieson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 15, 202, at Allen Family Funeral Options.
Bobby will be laid to rest with military honors at 9:15 a.m., Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with Peter Park of Chase Oaks Church officiating.
