Bobby Joe Sims

Bobby Joe Sims, age 72 of 124 Compton Road, Belton SC. passed on Monday, June 02, at Prisma Health Medical Center, Grenville SC. Bobby was born on January 13, 1953, in Anderson County to the parents of the late Waymond Sims, Sr. and Sarah Dunn Sims. He attended Spearman High School and was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, and a Auto Mechanic, Bobby was also previously employed at J.P. Stevens. He leaves to cherish fond memories one son Andrew Geer of Belton S.C two sisters: Dorothy Thompson of Anderson SC, Hazel Sims of Belton SC; and four brothers Jerry Sims, Jimmy Sims of Anderson SC, Leo Sims, and Williford (Brenda) Sims of Belton SC; two sister-in-law, Eunice Sims of Belton SC, and Lynn Sims of Anderson S.C., as well as a host of other loving relatives and friends. He was proceeded in death by one sister Shirley Thompson; and four brothers; Waymond Sims Jr., Randy Sims, Marvin Sims and Walter Sims. Funeral services will be held Saturday 2:00 P.M. at New Jerusalem Baptist Church,, burial will follow at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Public viewing will be Friday from 12:00-6:00 P.M. at Holloway's Funeral Home. The family is at the home of his sister Hazel Sims 127 Compton Road Belton S.C. Holloway's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
