Joseph Patrick George

Joseph Patrick Michael George, 74, husband of Diane Chaddock, died Friday, January 23, 2026.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the James George and Loretta O'Dwyer George.

In addition to his wife of 14 years, he is survived by 6 children and 1 stepchild, 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one sister, two brothers; and the mother of his 6 children.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Pat was a proud Veteran of the US Navy where he developed his love for cooking. He served in the Vietnam War and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and a Meritorious Unit Commendation.

After having several entrepreneurial businesses, he completed his career as regional VP of Sysco Foods from which he eventually retired.

Pat was an avid fisherman and loved being on the water. He also loved traveling, golfing, biking, boxing, his family, friends, and his dog, Ben.

The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast followed by inurnment in the in the M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
