He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Joe Smith, Sr. and Mary Edith Teeters Smith; grandparents, Parker and Alice Teeters, Floyd and Leona Smith; nephew, Andy Payne; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carolyn and Clarence Yeargan.
He is survived by his wife, Gina Smith; son, Tre Joshua Smith; sister, Karen (David) Layton; brother, Marshall (Nancy) Payne; niece, Jessica (Stephen) Turner.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, 2:00 PM at Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
