He was born March 10, 1945 in Bibb County, Alabama, son of the late Gary Smitherman and the late Gracie Smitherman.
He was a Construction Worker.
Surviving are his Wife, Barbara Smitherman; Son, Wayne (Esther) Smitherman; Daughter, Rachel (Ronnie) DeRamus; Daughter, Misty (Mark) Pierce; 7 Grandchildren; 3 Great-Grandchildren; A Host of Other Family.
He was preceded in death by His Father, Gary Thomas Smitherman; Mother, Gracie Lee Smitherman; 2 Sisters; 4 Brothers; Grandchild, Layton Campbell.
Friends will be received Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Odis Connell officiating.
Interment will follow in Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama.
Martin Funeral Home directing.
