Fife, Washington - Rosemary T. Smitherman, age 79, of Fife, Washington, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025.
Born on October 30, 1946, in Bismarck, North Dakota, Rosemary later moved to Washington, where she graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma. She pursued a career in accounting and bookkeeping, earning the respect of colleagues for her attention to detail and professionalism.
Rosemary shared 40 years of marriage with her husband, Senior Chief (Ret.) Dennis C. Smitherman. Her life was marked by a generous spirit and a loving nature that left a lasting impression on those around her.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Mike and Kari Pelham, Jeff and Shawnda Pelham, Shantele Johansen, Stacie and Bill Filler, Dennis and Christie Smitherman, and Scott and Jennifer Smitherman. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery; the date will be announced to friends and family.
May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
