Robert "Bobby" Boyles Tadlock, 82, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at his home on October 16, 2024.
Born April 12, 1942, in Columbia, Mississippi to Billy Clyde (B.C.) Tadlock and Clara Boyles Tadlock, Bobby was a lifelong resident of the Jackson Metro area. He was an alumnus of Pearl High School and the University of Southern Mississippi. Bobby built a successful career in banking in the Jackson Metro area and later worked in real estate.
He married Ouida Scruggs in 1966, and together they had three children. In 1988, he married Alletha Mangum, with whom he shared 36 happy years in their Crossgates home.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Alletha Mangum Tadlock; his sister, Beverly Tadlock Smith; his children, Toni Tadlock White, Bridget Tadlock McNeill, and Michael Tadlock; his stepson, Jerry Keyes; his twelve grandchildren, Josh Nance, Jeb Gildon, Jake and Jayla Potvin; Ian, Hagan, Regan, and Gavin McNeill; Mattilyn, Grace, Brody, and Tori Tadlock; and eight great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Ginger.
Bobby was an outdoor enthusiast who loved hunting and fishing. He was particularly proud of helping build the Soggy Bottom deer camp, where he created lasting memories with family and friends. His zest for life, strong work ethic, and playful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon on Sunday, October 20, 2024, from 12:30 to 2:30 pm. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm in Crestview Memorial Gardens.
