Bobby Ray Terry
Bobby Terry, 65, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, in Kosciusko, MS. Bobby was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025, at 3:00 pm in Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until service time Sunday, March 2nd, at Culpepper Funeral Home.
Bobby married the love of his life, Joy, and were married for 46 years. During those 46 years, they were given a daughter, Sukie.
He loved and cared about other people. He was passionate about helping others. Bobby loved to fish, grill, spend time with family and friends and watch Carson play baseball.
Bobby was a member of Thomastown Baptist Church. He loved the Lord. He was also involved in a Bible study group at Harvest Point Church in Kosciusko. He said he learned so much from the Bible study and made many new Christian friends.
He was a member of the Thomastown Volunteer Fire Department. His favorite place to go was the café in Thomastown. He and his friends called it The Dew Drop.
Bobby started working for his father, who was a contractor. He then started working offshore for 5 years. His final job was with J. C. Cheek in Kosciusko. He served as a foreman for 28 years and was known as the "milling man".
He is survived by his wife Joy, daughter Sukie (Jake) Philyaw, grandsons Carson and Jacob, brothers Jimmy Terry, Alex Ray Thomas, Carl Terry and Bobby Moore, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents James Gaden Terry and Amy Thomas, grandparents Joe and Nelvie Terry, sister Betty Wilkerson, and uncles Bud Terry and Larry Joe Terry.
