Bobbye F. Harris, age 92 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Advent Health Redmond.
Bobbye was born on February 25, 1933 in Gordon County, GA, the daughter of the late Joseph Clarence Fowler and Robbie Lou Wilbanks Fowler. In addition to her parents, Bobbye was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Harris; three brothers, Jimmie Lee Fowler, Gerald Zane Fowler, and Walter Richard Fowler; one sister, Betty June Fowler; and sister-in-law, Glenda Fowler.
Bobbye founded the Bobbye Harris Foundation and played a pivotal role in establishing both the Harris Radiation Center and the Harris Arts Center through her generous donations and dedication. As President of the Clarence Harris Foundation, she worked tirelessly to support local nonprofits. Above all, Bobbye deeply loved her family and had a special affection for animals, especially dogs.
Bobbye is survived by: one brother, Larry Med Fowler; two sisters-in-law, Trish Fowler and Pat Fowler; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 10 AM until 11 AM at Thomas Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 11 AM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Frank Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers.
