David Fletcher Melton, age, 74 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at AdventHealth Redmond.
David was born on December 28, 1951, in Maryland, son of the late Caleb Wilson Melton and Roma Lee Burleson Melton. David worked as an engineer for Castrol until his retirement. He was a devoted member of First Christian Church in Adairsville. David loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing and boating. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and reading. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
David is survived by his wife, Eileen Kay Greer Melton; two sons, Aaron Melton and his wife Sarah and Brian Melton and his wife Shannon; daughter, Tyler Melton; four grandchildren, Noah, Magnolia, Connie Jean, and Kailyn Melton; brother, Steve Melton and his wife Linda; sister, Becky Melton; and nieces and nephews.
A celebration of the life of David will be held at a later date.
