Bonita J. "Bonnie" Singer, age 85, of Wooster and a longtime resident of Apple Creek, entered into rest on Friday evening, January 17, 2025, at Westview Healthy Living in Wooster after a period of declining health.
She was born on November 21, 1939, in Doylestown, Ohio to George W. and Marie V (Huth) Trenary and has been a longtime resident of the Wayne County area for most of her life.
She later married Edwin Lee Singer on June 24, 1978, in Barberton, Ohio. He entered into rest on May 18, 2003, in Wooster.
Bonnie was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed quilting and cake decorating. She also won multiple ribbons over the years from the Wayne County Fair for her quilting and cake creations.
She was an avid gardener, cook and a seamstress. She mostly loved spending time with her beloved family.
She is survived by her children, Stephanie Greer, Victoria (Fredrick) Weller, Amy Kruger and Philip (Miriam) Berlin; stepchildren, Penny (Joey) Shearer, Sharon Smith, and Terri (Rob) Kurtz; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband, she is preceded in death by her stepson, Curtis Singer, and good friend Margaret Hopkins.
It was her previous wish that there be no public services.
The family would like to convey a special thank you to Jeff and Heather Shedron and their children for their special care and concern they have shown for Bonnie over the years.
A private inurnment will take place at a later time at Newman Creek Cemetery in North Lawrence, Ohio at the convenience of the family.
Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is assisting the family.
Memorial contributions may be in lieu of flowers to: Ohio's Hospice Life Care, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.
