Bonnie Sue Harris Bawcom, age 62, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2024, at St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a courageous six-month battle with cancer.
Born on May 25, 1963, in Wausau, Wisconsin, Bonnie brought warmth, joy, and laughter to everyone who knew her. In 1994, she moved to Spring Creek, Nevada, where she quickly made lifelong friends and became an active, valued member of the community. She proudly served on local committees, always seeking to make her neighborhood a better place through her leadership, kindness, and dedication.
In 2003, Bonnie began her real estate career, eventually becoming a respected broker and agent for Bawcom Real Estate. She worked side-by-side with her mother-in-law, Tammy Bawcom, and the two shared not only a strong professional partnership but also a deep and special bond. Bonnie helped countless families find homes with compassion, dedication, and the kind of personal care that made her clients feel like family.
Above all, Bonnie's greatest joy in life was her family. She traveled often to visit her beloved grandchildren-Finley, Natalie, Abigail, and Johnathan-always arriving with open arms, a bright smile, endless love, and gifts. She had a deep love for the beach, especially Isle of Palms, South Carolina and Ocho Rios, Jamaica, where she found peace in the ocean breeze and serenity in the rhythm of the waves. She was also a loyal and spirited Green Bay Packers fan who proudly cheered on her team every season.
Bonnie absolutely adored her three dogs-Bella, Rip, and Kevin-who were her constant companions and brought her comfort, laughter, and unconditional love. She had a deep love for all animals and enjoyed taking rides up Lamoille Canyon to look for sheep.
She is survived by her loving husband, Tate Bawcom; her children, Alicia (Matt) Richmond of Sun Prairie, WI, Adam (Jessica) Golomski of Stansbury Park, UT, and Aymee Golomski of Boise, ID; her grandchildren; her sister, Cindy (Gene) Fenhaus; her brothers, Ernie (Mary) Harris and Randy (Rosie) Harris; and her in-laws, Tammy and David Bawcom. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of friends from across the country whose lives she touched deeply.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Helen Tessmer; her father, Ernest Harris; and her nephew, Joseph Harris.
She will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her unwavering love for her family, her kindness, her laughter, and her heart for service. A part of her will always be in Isle of Palms, carried on the waves and in the hearts of those who loved her.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date for family and friends.
