Bonnie Jan-èt (Butler) Clinton

September 11, 1964 – July 24, 2025

Bonnie Jan-èt Clinton, 60, of Detroit, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025.

She was born on September 11, 1964, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Mary (Bonnie) Butler and William Butler.

Bonnie worked as a legal secretary for many years and later pursued training as a court reporter. She was a woman of many talents - gifted with technology, skilled at assembling just about anything, and always ready with quick wit and laughter. With her heart of gold, contagious smile, and boundless loyalty, Bonnie touched the lives of everyone around her.

A true movie buff, Bonnie especially loved horror films, with The Walking Dead being a favorite she could watch endlessly. She was also passionate about music - from Tupac and Lil Wayne to Prince and Michael Jackson - and was rarely without a song that lifted her spirit. Sports brought her joy as well, particularly basketball, and she proudly cheered for her beloved Detroit Pistons.

Bonnie is survived by her devoted husband, Bobby Clinton; her loving mother, Mary Butler; and her cherished daughters, Richelle Hobbs and Tonina Gouch, and her beloved fur ball, Nike.

Bonnie's strength, humor, and warmth will forever be remembered by her family and friends.

She is forever loved and will be forever missed.
