Bonnie K. DeSander

DeSander, Bonnie K. – of Montrose, age 75, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at McLaren Flint. Honoring her wishes, cremation will be taking place. A private graveside service will be held in Montrose Township Cemetery at a later date.
Bonnie was born August 11, 1947, in Stambaugh City, Michigan, to the late Edward and June (Carey) Nygard. She graduated from Hill-McCloy High School in Montrose with the class of 1965. Bonnie retired from General Motors – Flint V8 Engine after 29 years of service. She was a faithful member of Mt. Sinai Lutheran Church in Montrose. Bonnie loved the color pink, Little Debbie snacks, eating chicken, and of course, her Coca-Cola. She had a heart of gold, and was always thoughtful, kind, and sweet to everyone. Above all, Bonnie loved spending time with her grandchildren, they were her life.
Surviving are: Son, Joseph DeSander; Daughter, Tiffanie DeSander; Grandchildren: Ryan Larkin, Dalton DeSander, Alexis DeSander, Eli DeSander and Labron DeSander; Great grandson, Warren Larkin; Brother, Edward "Joe" (Maryann) Nygard; Sisters: Pam May, and Helaine (Greg) Kuzniar; Many nieces and nephews. Bonnie was also preceded in death by: Granddaughter, Amber DeSander; Brothers: Ronnie Nygard and Ricky Nygard; Stepfather, Ray Burt.
