Bonnie Jean "Barr" Dommel passed away March 6th, 2026. Born in Lancaster, PA on September 24, 1960, to Melvin and Jane Barr, she was preceded in death by her children, Jesse and Daniel Haupt. Bonnie was truly one of a kind and well known for her ability to make people laugh and smile. Her lifelong relationship to the late John Haupt resulted in her many children, and she is survived by her siblings Michael, Joseph, Cynthia, and Lisa Barr, as well as her many children and grandchildren. Her legacy lives on through Jaime Mease (husband Andrew), Eric Dommel, Nicole Dommel, Amanda Haupt, Cody Haupt, Megan Haupt, Melissa Haupt, Kristen Haupt, Airelle Haupt, and Tyler Haupt, along with her many, many grandchildren.
She was the glue to holding so much together. Bonnie was a devoted mother, wife, sibling, and friend. She was a loving mother of 12 children and a mother to everyone who walked through her door. She had a heart so beautiful that even in her last days, she made sure she took care of others. She never judged or turned away anyone in need, feeding and housing whoever she could, however she could.
A selfless woman who dedicated her life to her kids and grandkids, Bonnie loved to wake up in the morning and open the curtains to let the light in before grabbing a broom and dustpan to clean. She taught all her children the value of hard work and the importance of family. She was such an inspiration because of her willingness to sacrifice for those she loved, and she will be missed so dearly by so many. We love you Momma, always and forever.
