Sandra K. Dommel

Sandy K. Dommel, 77, of Lena, IL, passed away at home on July 12, 2025 with her family present. She was born on January 22, 1948 in Freeport, IL. She was a 1966 graduate of Freeport High School. She attended Highland Community College School of Beauty, graduating in 1968. She married Richard Dommel Sr on October 17, 1970 in Freeport, IL. She collected Tweety and dolphins. She loved going to car shows, camping, traveling, and crocheting. She also loved spending time with her family and beloved dog Elvis. Survivors include her husband Richard Dommel Sr, daughter Deb Deyo (Brad Sherrer) of Freeport, IL, son Richard J. Dommel Jr of Albany, WI, grandson Samuel Deyo of Minnesota, brother William (Mary) Gerloff of Freeport, IL, brother-in-law Robert L. Dommel of Freeport, IL, and her nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents Al & Dorothy Fitz, her father and mother-in-law Lester & Zella Dommel, and her beloved dog Renny. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 19, 2025, from 10 AM - 12 PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL.
