Bonnie Beth Hammett

Bonnie Hammett, born May 19, 1940, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, at the age of 85. A dedicated computer programmer, she contributed her skills to Delta Air Lines, where she worked with diligence and precision.
Bonnie had a profound love for gardening and flowers, finding joy and solace in nurturing the beauty of nature. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Barrett; her mother, Deleen Barrett; and her brother, Bob Barrett.
Bonnie is survived by her devoted husband of over 40 years, Phillip Hammett. She leaves behind her beloved children: Carla (Mike) Harris, Lisa (Ken) Hearn, Tracey (Ronnie) Long, Larry Kessinger Jr., Shawn Kessinger, and Jason (Katie) Hammett. Her sister, Eileen (Charles) Sessums, and brother, Carl Barrett, also mourn her passing.
Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Crista Kessinger, Heather (Michael) Hamrick, Josh (Katelyn) Kessinger, Maggie (Kaleb) Garrison, Jessica Kessinger, Anna (Dexter) Roberts, Jacob Kessinger, Ellie Long, Emma (Ethan) Echols, Larry Kessinger III, Hudson Hammett, and Stella Hammett. She also leaves behind her precious great-grandchildren: Parker Hamrick, Keaton Hamrick, Ella Kessinger, Ellie Kessinger, Walker Kessinger, Sophia Mercado, and Rowan Kessinger.
In addition, Bonnie's memory will be cherished by many nieces and nephews, all of whom remember her warmth, kindness, and dedication to family.
Bonnie Hammett will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.
