With heavy hearts yet joyous spirits, we announce the passing of Bonnie Lee Keith, who departed this life on March 22, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on June 4, 1933, in Sterns, KY, to Henry and Goldie (nee Strunk) Keith, Bonnie was a beacon of love and laughter throughout his life. His family made their way to Cincinnati during his youth, setting the stage for a life filled with hard work, devotion, and cherished moments.
Bonnie graduated high school and embarked on a successful career as a glass cutter at Glenny Glass Company, where he became known for his impeccable skill in repairing countless windows across the region. His passion for life shone brightly in his love for attending auctions and enjoying the great outdoors, particularly through camping and boating, a love he beautifully passed down to his children.
As a pastor at Lake Waynoka Community Chapel in Sardinia, Ohio, Bonnie dedicated himself to serving his community, spreading joy and faith wherever he went. He and his beloved wife, Evelyn "Darlean" (nee Oliver) Keith, shared many memorable adventures together, particularly in sunny Florida, where they were members of the First Baptist Church in Brooksville.
Bonnie's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his cherished family, including his wife Evelyn, and their children: Kennith (Cindy) and Robert Keith, along with daughters-in-law Dian & Virginia Keith. He embraced his bonus children, Scott (Tonya) and Joseph (Amy) Hickman. Known for his camaraderie, his best friend Tony Gannon stood by him through thick and thin.
Bonnie takes great pride in his numerous grandchildren, who brought him immense joy: Brian Keith; Crystal (Alex) Osborn, Anthony Jr. & Andrew (Alisha) Keith, Amber Keith; Dylan (Kayla) Hickman, Hailey (Brandon) Uhrstadt, and Jacob (Alexa) Hickman; Dakota (Samantha) Hickman, Karlie (Jake) Aubrey, Ashlee (Josh) Pierce, and Brady (Tanna) Hickman. His legacy will also shine through his beloved great-grandchildren, Christian, Kiersten, Alex Jr., River Osborn, Alexis, Dallas, Jasmine & Walker, Dakota, & D.J. Keith, Avery & Eila Hickman, Paxton Aubrey, Ryder Pierce, Kyndall Hickman and baby Urhstadt "Scottie Lou" and Baby Aubrey on the way.
Bonnie is also survived by his sister-in-law, Dora Croft, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will carry his memory in their hearts.
Bonnie was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Goldie (nee Strunk) Keith; sons Anthony "Tony" Keith & Chester Keith; bonus son: Anthony Hickman; daughter in law: Melodie Keith; siblings: Earl, William & Ray Keith; grandson Matthew Keith; and brothers-in-law: Vernon and John Wayne Oliver.
A visitation will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home in Harrison, Ohio, on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 12 PM until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM with Jacob Hickman officiating. Following the service, Bonnie will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati. A funeral home representative will be present to accept memorials in Bonnie's memory.
As we commemorate the life of Bonnie Lee Keith, we invite all who knew him to join in this celebration of a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of family. His spirit will forever guide us, and his memory will always be cherished.
