Bonnie Gail Kitchings, age 65, of Williamston, North Carolina, climbed the staircase of Heaven on October 8, 2025, after her courageous battle with Parkinson's disease and Lewy Body Dementia and Lupus. Bonnie was born on March 22, 1960, and was raised in Williamston. She spent most of her adult life in Winnabow, North Carolina, where she lived with her eldest daughter, before returning home to Williamston eight years ago. She devoted her life to the people she loved most - her family.
Bonnie's greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She never turned down an opportunity to spend time with them, from adventures to sick days, Grandma made every day brighter. She also loved spending time with her sisters, sharing countless adventures and shopping trips over the years. Bonnie's beloved dog was her faithful companion for fifteen years, always by her side.
She is survived by her daughters, Christy and Jessica; nine grandchildren, Victoria, Chester, Camron, Jordan, Peyton, Kyleigh, Kinzley, Layla, and Dalton; and five great-grandchildren, Ella, Addy, Max, Hudson, and Hazel. She is also survived by her siblings, Jeannie Bowen, Sophie Rogerson, Donna Roberson, Robbie Holliday, and David Cowan, along with several loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings Milton Holliday and Sheila Hancock, and her granddaughter Nicole and great-granddaughter baby Raegan.
Bonnie loved cheering for Duke Blue Devils basketball and Dallas Cowboys football, and she cherished her Saturday afternoon movie dates with her daughter and grandkids, especially when they were watching horror movies. She made the best potato salad and never hesisitated to make it when requested. Her laughter, strength, and unconditional love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Though she will be missed tremendously, she is healed and whole again.
