Bonnie Gail Lauer

October 10, 1960 – October 25, 2025

Bonnie Gail Lauer, age 65, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. She was born on October 10, 1960, in Concord, Massachusetts, to Robert Alexander Gray and Violet Glenny Gray.

Bonnie grew up in Stow, Massachusetts, and attended Nashoba Regional High School before earning her certificate in Culinary Arts. On August 6, 1983, she married the love of her life, Brian James Lauer, and together they shared 42 wonderful years of marriage.

Bonnie worked for several years in the bakery at Albertsons, where her passion for baking truly shined. She was known for her incredible rolls and famous chocolate chip cookies, which were loved by family, friends, and coworkers alike. Beyond her talents in the kitchen, Bonnie found joy in spending time with her friends and loved ones, always bringing warmth and laughter wherever she went.

She was preceded in death by her father, R. Alex Gray.

Bonnie is survived by her devoted husband, Brian Lauer, of Rio Rancho, NM; her children, Katie Lauer (and son-in-law Jerris Corbin) of Chantilly, VA, Kim Lauer of Frederick, MD, and Daniel Lauer of Rio Rancho, NM; her beloved mother, Violet Gray, of Stow, MA; her brothers, Tim “T” Gray, Gordon Gray, and Rob Gray, all of Stow, MA; her cherished grandchildren, Jonah, Nolan, and Micah Lauer, and Mikayla and Cameron Corbin; and her faithful cat, Frank.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks for the many kind words, memories, and support shared in honor of Bonnie. It brings them great comfort to know how deeply she was loved and how many lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Watermelon Mountain Ranch Animal Shelter in Rio Rancho, NM. A memorial service will be held at Star Heights Park, 800 Polaris Blvd SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124 on November 15, 2025, from 10AM - 12PM to celebrate Bonnie’s life.
