Theodore "Ted" Clement Lauer, 70, of Syracuse, peacefully passed away on April 2nd. He was a graduate of Jamesville-Dewitt High School, and proudly served four years in the United States Navy. "T.C." was employed by Midwest Machine Products in Golden, Colorado, where he worked as a shift leader. He enjoyed listening to the blues, playing his guitar and keyboard, and caring for animals. Ted was predeceased by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Cherie Diane Sailing-Lauer; his children, Dawn (Scott) Lauer, Jason (Shauna) Lauer, and Emily (David) Lauer; his siblings, Judy A. Lauer, Walter W. Lauer, and Mark S. Lauer; his 12 grandchildren, Alexandra (PJ) Lauer, Cierra (Charles) Walker, McKayla (Zach) Lauer, Abigail Warner, Scott Warner II, Mason Warner, Rowen Warner, Aiden Lauer, Adisson Lauer, Tyler Lauer, Piper Strungis-Lauer, and Ashton Strungis-Lauer; his great-grandson, Gavin Walker; and his niece, Kate Lauer. Family and friends may call Wednesday 11am to 1pm at the Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd, Syracuse. A memorial service will follow.
