Mrs. Bonnie Lee West McQueen, 87, of Richmond, passed away on Wednesday evening, September 6, 2023 at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center.
She was born in Ohio on June 24, 1936, the daughter of the late Jesse Frank West and Lillie Brown West. Bonnie moved to the Richmond area in 1963 and was a retired employee of Parker Seal in Berea. Listening to her "oldies" music and playing board games were a passion for Bonnie – Sorry and Yahtzee were two of her favorites and she enjoyed loudly saying "YAHTZEE!" for anyone near to hear.
Survivors include: her daughter, Angela Johnson; her grandchildren, Jessica Saylor, Jonathan Wynn & Casey Sturgill; five great-grandchildren, Brandon Adams, Alexis Adams, Jacob Wynn, Carter Wynn, and Elsie Wynn; one brother, Bobby West (Beverly); two sisters, Becky West and Betty West Bufler; as well as many other extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Benny, Bill & Bernie, and her husband, Albert McQueen.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 11:00AM – 1:00PM Saturday, September 9, 2023, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., Richmond.
Committal service and entombment will follow in the Berea Cemetery Mausoleum.
