Bonnie V. O'Neill- The family of Bonnie V. O'Neill shares with deep sadness, her peaceful passing on October 2, 2025. A lifelong resident of Falmouth, Bonnie was the devoted wife of the late Jeremiah J. O'Neill for 67 years and the cherished daughter of the late Quentin H. and Ruth A. Banks. She was a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a beloved friend to many.

Bonnie is survived by her four children: B. Catherine O'Neill, Shawn K. O'Neill, Lynn A. O'Neill, and Terrence M. O'Neill; her siblings, Richard Banks, James Banks, and Laurie Hull; and many extended family members. Known affectionately as "Nana," she adored her seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Bonnie was admired for her strength, kindness, and warmth. She worked for many years as Administrator of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Town of Falmouth and was also a licensed Realtor. A true "townie," she loved her community, her family, and the beach.

She found great joy in music and loved playing the piano, filling her home with warmth and familiar melodies. Above all, she treasured the unique and loving bond she shared with each of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren-relationships that brought her endless pride and happiness. She will be remembered as a strong, beautiful, and compassionate woman who touched countless lives.

In 2017, Bonnie was diagnosed with lymphoma. She faced her illness with courage and grace, becoming a patient in cutting-edge CAR-T cell therapy at Mass General. Her cancer went into remission, and she inspired all who knew her with her bravery and perseverance.

Visiting hours for Bonnie will be held on Wednesday, October 15th, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a service at 12:30 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 584 West Falmouth Highway (Route 28A) in West Falmouth. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Massachusetts National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mass General Hospital's Center for Lymphoma in support of research advancing CAR-T cell therapy and targeted treatments for lymphoma giving.massgeneral.org.
