Bonnie Potter Padrick

Bonnie Rae Padrick, 86 of Lexington, NC where she lived with her niece Sandra and Craig Palmer for the past 4 years. She was formerly of Wilmington, NC. Bonnie died Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Bonnie was born June 12, 1939, in Delco, NC, the daughter of the late Elwood Potter and Jesse Mae Wilkerson Potter. Her brother, Richard Potter fondly referred to as Cricket also preceded her in death.
She retired from Whitey's El Berta Motor Inn in Wilmington. Bonnie and Fred fostered children for 12 years. She also partnered with her husband Fred to start Fred's Bread in the early 1980s. She was an active member of Castle Hayne Advent Christian Church for a number of years, serving as bookkeeper and on several church committees. Most recently she attended Clearview Baptist Church in Lexington, NC.
Surviving are her son Glenn Padrick and wife Tonia, daughter, Donna McGowan, sister Retta McDuffie and husband Bobby, brother Norwood Potter, grandson Scott Padrick, granddaughter Brittany McGowan, her spouse Chonly, and two great grandchildren Weston and Ellis McGowan.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM, Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Wilmington Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Randy Ledford will conduct the service. The family will receive friends 10 AM until service time.
