Bonnie Lou (Haley) Smedley-Schultz, age 67 passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at her home in Nashville.
Bonnie was born October 8, 1956 in Paoli. She had a love for helping others, which led her to pursue a master's degree in Nursing and a PhD in Sociology. She was a compassionate nurse and was head nurse of the pediatrics unit at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to that, Bonnie worked as a traveling nurse on the east coast and also worked for several VA Hospitals.
Bonnie was a devout catholic and was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Nashville. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, horseback riding and spending time in the outdoors. She will be remembered most for her delicious cooking and for her love of life.
Bonnie will be missed by her children: Abraham Smedley of Nashville, Christina Jones of Savannah, Georgia and Brian Smedley of Nashville and 6 grandchildren.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, John & Darrel Haley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30th at St. Agnes Catholic Church: 1008 McLary Road in Nashville. Friends may call from 9 am until service time at the church. Burial will follow at Lanam Ridge Cemetery in Brown County. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.
