Bonnie Lou Stacy, passed away peacefully on the evening of Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Norton Scott Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. Born on July 10, 1948, in Krypton, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Mason Hall and Gertrude (Stidham) Hall. Bonnie's life was a testament to her strength, love, and unwavering spirit.
In 1983, Bonnie united in marriage with Jerry R. Stacy, who remains to honor her memory. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and enduring family bonds. Bonnie's professional journey included dedicated service at the old U.S. Shoe in Crothersville, Indiana, and Panasote in Seymour, Indiana. Her commitment to her work was paralleled only by her devotion to her faith, as she was a steadfast attendee of the Old Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Austin, Indiana.
Bonnie's passion for cooking was legendary among her family and friends. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and joy, where she lovingly prepared meals that nourished the body and soul.
Bonnie's life was enriched by her loving family, who will carry her memory forward. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry R. Stacy; her children, Suzette Sizemoure of Scottsburg, Indiana, Adna Jean Bowen (Taristan) Morris of Austin, Indiana, Hobert Sizemoure of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Jessie "R.C." Stacy of Deputy, Indiana. Her siblings, Bud Hall of LaGrange, Kentucky, Robert Lee Hall (Liza) of Austin, Indiana, Martha Lou (Bob) Riley of Austin, Indiana, and Joyce Ann (Jeff) Flowers of Louisville, Kentucky, also survive her.
The light of her life shone brightly through her grandchildren, Lauren (Jon) Lehman, Jordan Lucas (Jared) Lucas, Dosie Marie Stacy, Raylynn Stacy, Kaytlin Stacy, and Jayden Brandenburg, who will forever treasure the love and wisdom she imparted.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her son, Jerry R. Stacy II; daughter, Margie F. Sizemoure; and siblings, David Hall, Estil Hall, Jim Stidham, Judy Riley, and Irene White. Her legacy will be honored and her life celebrated during the funeral service at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin, Indiana. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation from 10 am to 2 pm on the day of the service at Buchanan Funeral Home.
