Bonnie Lou Vasher. Age 91 of Wyandotte
~Family Tribute~
Our beloved mom, Bonnie Lou Vasher, was born at Wyandotte Hospital on July 25, 1934 and departed our earthly world on Palm Sunday, March 29, 2026. She simply couldn't live without Ronnie (Ronald R. Vasher) who passed away on June 1, 2025 and we are filled with peace knowing they are waving palm fronds together with Jesus. Bonnie and Ronnie lived in Wyandotte their entire lives, as did their own parents. Bonnie's mom and dad were Loyd and Hazel Amo. Her mother in law and father in law were Ezeb and Dorothy Vasher. We are her lucky and beloved children, Jill (Chris) Mayville and David (Mandy) Vasher. She adored her only grandchild, Trevor (Megan). She is also survived by Susan (Mike) Tomaszewski and Frances (William) Vasher, her loving sister in laws. Bonnie was loved by her dear departed sister, Belle Foxworth and her aunt and uncle Joseph and Marion Arsenault, as well as Ron's departed siblings, Donna (Joseph), William (Fran) and Marvin (Pat). Bonnie's entire world centered around her children and husband. Bonnie and Ronnie had that one in a million marriage that everyone wanted to emulate, including their children. Her passions were being a mom and a housewife (along with rescuing the occasional injured dog or cat). However, Bonnie's business skills (winning typing and shorthand honors) helped them save for their first and only home where they lived for 72 years. Bonnie worked for the principal of McCann School as well as for executives at Chrysler until she and Ron had their two children. Once her children graduated, she graced the women's clothing store, Madelyn's, by working there for years. She made lasting friendships and loved her job. She provided an idyllic life for her family. Our home was a haven, not only for us but for our friends. Mom was the anchor that grounded us, the voice of compassion and wisdom and love that we can't imagine living without. Later in life she and Ron traveled the United States and Florida became their second home. In the past year, Bonnie lost her husband, many beloved high school friends in her ladies lunch group and her beloved dog, Cooper, who was more like a son than an animal. In 1939 she met her best friend for life, Ruth Short. Ruthie was one of those we lost recently and was part of our family. We will honor and cherish our beautiful mom forever. She and Ron were our best friends. It is our greatest joy that mom and dad are together again.
