Bonnie Lucille Wayman age 83 of Saranac passed away February 8, 2026. She was born May 31, 1942 at home in Saranac, the daughter of Glen and Avis (Bugby) Conroe. Bonnie went to Saranac High School graduating with the class of 1960.

She married James Charles Wayman April 13, 1963 in Grand Rapids, together they raised 2 children. James preceded Bonnie in death November 13, 2025.

Bonnie was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques, camping and traveling to Europe to visit her grandchildren.

Surviving Bonnie are her children, Jay (Brooke) Wayman of Marne, MI and Erin Wayman (Peter Ritter) of Beaconsfield, England. Grandchildren, Katherine Ritter, Alexander Ritter and Sophia Ritter all of Beaconsfield, England. Sisters, Velma Jean (Bud) Moyer of Saranac, Christine (Barry) Jackson of Saranac and Carolyn (Tom) Westbrook of Saranac. Brothers and sisters in law, Daniel and Sandra Wayman of Jackson, Elnora and Roderick Gale of Grand Rapids and Elsie Vis of Rockford. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James and brothers, Butch Conroe, Ronald Conroe and Lewis Helsel.

There will be a visitation at the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac on Friday, February 13th from 4-6 p.m. A celebration of life and graveside services for Bonnie and James will be held in the Summer. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Corewell Health Hospice. Online condolences may be made at www.lakefuneralhomes.com
