Bonnie Jean Wlodarczyk

Bonnie Jean Wlodarczyk passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024 in Merced, California. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Joseph Wlodarczyk, and her son, Craig Wlodarczyk. Bonnie was born on December 3, 1935 in Verden, Oklahoma to Samuel and Ruby Johnston. As a child, her family relocated to Merced where she attended local schools and met the love of her life at the local skating rink. She married Joe in 1951 and had her first of 5 children the following year. Through the years she moved around the US as well as Europe with the USAF until Joseph's retirement in 1968, at which time they moved back to Merced and continued to raise their children. Bonnie was active with Beta Sigma Phi for many years, was employed by Riggs Ambulance as office manager for 27 years, and was a member of the Merced Women's Club, St. Patrick's Catholic Church women's group, and the 49ers RV group. Bonnie and Joe traveled and cruised as often as they could in their later years. Bonnie is survived by 4 children: Mark (Barbara), Karen (Jeff), Kurt (Andrea and Suzanne. She leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on October 3, 2024 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Atwater, California.
