Bonnie Sue Young

Bonnie Sue Young, a beloved figure in the community, passed away suddenly on April 12, 2024, at her residence in Beech Bluff, TN. She was surrounded by her loving husband, Paul E. Young, Jr., at the age of 73.
 
Born on October 31, 1950, in Mayfield, KY, the daughter of the late Lloyd Dean and Mary Sue Patterson Pollock. Bonnie led a remarkable life filled with compassion and devotion to her faith. She co-founded the Petra Family Worship Center and served as the CEO of Petra Harvest, leaving an indelible mark on all those she encountered.
 
Described as caring, loving, and giving, Bonnie will be remembered for her selfless nature and her unwavering commitment to helping others. Her passion for spreading the word of the Lord was evident in all aspects of her life.
 
In addition to her husband Paul E. Young, Jr., Bonnie is survived by her children: Tracey L. Carrico and wife Tammie of Mayfield, KY, Shannon Carrico of Ocala, FL, Shelia Beshires and husband Tony of Pinson, TN, Amanda Bragg and husband Chris of Cookeville, TN, Lora Askew of Jackson; son-in-law Steven Privitt of Jackson; sisters, Crystal E. Hamilton and husband Joseph of Sedalia, KY, Cindy Schutte and husband Shane of Lady lake, FL; brother Luke A. Pollock and wife Carolyn of Murray, KY; brother Michael Shane Parm of Mayfield, KY along with seventeen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
 
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Julia Privitt.
 
Bonnie found joy in reading her Bible and expressing her creativity through silk arrangements as well as oil and watercolor landscape paintings. Her proudest accomplishments include being a faithful witness for the Lord and establishing the Petra Family Worship Center.
 
A funeral service to celebrate Bonnie's life will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 12:00 p.m., in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. Jospeh Hamilton. Visitation will take place beginning at 10:00 AM and continuing until 12:00 PM prior to the service.
 
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tony Beshires and Luke Pollock.

Bonnie Sue Young's legacy of love, kindness, and faith will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. A life well-lived—a soul deeply cherished.
